Equestrian Champions League 2020

KOMPAS.com - Sports focusing on horse riding or equestrian will have a medium for competition in 2020.

The competition is named the Equestrian Champions League 2020 (#ECL2020).

Equestrian Champions League 2020 will launch this weekend with a 3 day competition, in Jakarta International Equestrian Park Pulomas, Jakarta, 13 – 16 December 2019.

As many as 300 participants from 25 equestrian clubs from all over Indonesia with 150 athletes and 200 horses will fill all the different classes that are being competed.

Many of the competitions classes will involve categories of show jumping, and dressage. #ECL2020 that consist of 6 series competitions intends to educate the public in equestrian sports.

Moreover, the purpose of creating #ECL2020 is to give equestrian athletes a medium to continue improving their skills and achieve great accomplishments.

“The continuity of the 6 series competition #ECL2020 is intended to identify athletes and quality horses that, in the future, will be able to bring pride for Indonesia in International Events,” says Co-Founder, #ECL2020, Adinda Yuanita.

Adinda evaluated that after the events of the Asian Games 2018, a good amount of the Indonesian Public’s interest in equestrian sports has grown.

This evaluation is proven by the millennial generation in Indonesia that had only been watching, now is participating in equestrian sports.

“in response to this growing interest, please come, we are providing a thousand free tribune seats for the general public that wishes to attend the launching of ECL 2020 in Jakarta International Equestrian Park Pulomas throughout the weekend.” She stated.

Alongside the event being held on Saturday December 14th 2019, there will also be the inauguration of the Equinara Academy Pulomas (a horse riding school with international standards) and the Equinara Pulomas Breeding Center (a center of horse breeding).

The Minister of Youth Sports of Indonesia, Zainudin Amali and the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, will be attending the event to inaugurate the Equinara Acedemy Pulomas and the Equinara Pulomas Breeding Center.

“The Equinara Academy Pulomas throughout this week has held a coaching clinic working with one of the best equestrian academies in the world that is located in Germany which is the Longines World Equestrian Academe,” Adinda stated.

“This will be continuously held as a commitment of Equinara in identifying the best of atheletes.” She ended.

Jakarta International Equestrian Park Pulomas (JIEPP) is one of the tourist destinations owned by PT Pulomas Jaya.

The venue has one of the best facilities in South East Asia with an area of 35 hectares. Some of the facilities include 1,000 tribune seats, 162 horse stables, a horse warm-up arena, a practice arena (indoor and outdoor), a cross country arena, a 24-hour veterinary, a center for premium horse breeding, and a LRT and Transjakarta bus access.
